I have been involved in the real estate market for 27 years. This year I had to make a very quick decision to purchase a home in Neepawa, Manitoba. I called 2 local agents and left a message. 24 hours later I had not received a reply. My 519 area code was likely the reason for this I assumed. I picked up my phone and called the 3rd agency and the phone was answered by a very polite and intelligent voice. The person at the other end of the line was very professional and very well informed about the local market. I set up a day to fly over to Manitoba with my wife and we were able to visit 12 local homes in one very brief visit. The agent had a story for every home and her honesty about each house was a Godsend. We bought a house within weeks, but it required a lot of renovations to suit our needs. Our agent arranged for contractors to meet us on another short visit and we picked our preferred vendor. Our agent then took on the role as our project manager, at no cost to us, and took care of everything… Even finding a cleaning crew at the end of the construction phase. Talk about going above and beyond! I no longer have a real estate agent in the Neepawa area. Instead I have a beautiful Friend.
